I Can’t Find My Carrier Path

Everyone wants to be successful and do everything they can to be. But there is a thing what i think to be successful you should do what you want to. In Universities most of the students choose there department (CS,DPT,Engineering etc) because their parents told them to do so or most of their are are choosing the same. The issue is students didn’t know what they want to do and just go with the flow. Mostly this ends up having bad grades, Depression and sometimes worse then that. Those who survive this bad path choosing end up doing a job they can’t make carrier out if it. When you ask most of the students what is plan after the university their answer most likely to be like “Do a job” and when you ask do you choose your carrier path most of them don’t have an answer.

Difference between job and carrier

Doing a job and making carrier isn’t the same. When people start doing job to fill there needs. Job have a purpose of earning money to finance yourself and it’s a short-term thing. On the other hand Carrier is something you do gain experience and skill for your future.

Why students face issues in choosing a right degree?

Students didn’t know what degree they should choose most of them didn’t consult with any one and start doing what their parents said or what their friends are doing and some find the most successful person their family and start doing what he does besides this can may help them to get a good job but it maybe difficult to find carrier out of it.

What is the solution for that?

There should be a platform where students can consult with the professionals who choose their carrier a particular field the want to join. The professional person can give them a better carrier advise. For Example: There is a student who want join a degree in machine learning because most of their friends are doing it. He started and at the beginning he had some issues with programming but he put some effort and get better in it. There is an issue the he not good at math like he cant find interest in doing it or understanding it. When he consult to a his teacher he may say no it’s not that important you will do it as you are a good programmer. If he consult to a professional he may suggest him to change his path because math is an important element in machine learning.

What if he consult to a professional at first place? if he have done it before his time could save and his effort.
